Description: Speed Shift, Chicago Coin, 6/74, electronic sound. The object of the game is to keep the tachometer in the green. If the tach stays in the yellow (low rpm), no points (miles) are scored. If the tach goes into the red (too much rpm), the engine blows with a bright flashing red light, and you start over from a dead stop. The player must also keep the car on the track going straight. There's a four speed gear shifter, and the player gets more points for keeping the tach in the green as the shifter goes from first, to second, to third, to fourth. A really cool game that is a bit complicated to play, especially for 1974. It's also a large game, but the seat assembly disconnects from the main game for moving, and often goes missing!
