Description: Magic Baseball, Shelden, Dickson and Steven from Omaha, Nebraska, 1966. Game uses a "hair drier" or bathroom vent motor to elevate and float the baseball (ping pong ball) in the strike zone in front of the player. The player could control how much air (power) was fed to the ball, controlling the height of the ball. Then the bat was swung to hit the ball. Six or Nine swings per game (adjustable.) Heavy game as the cabinet is all metal. Because the ping pong ball is so light weight, it sometimes has problems rolling through the ball track and activating the home run switch. When game is over, center tag lights up "game over." The head on the swinging manikin baseball player is a baby doll head, so it looks a bit bizarre (out of proportion to the body.) Game has a black light, as the bat and field lines and swings/home run indicators are day-glo colored, which reacts nicely to the blacklight.
