1939 Western's Deluxe Baseball
and Westerns Baseball

Description: Western Deluxe Baseball, Western, 1939, one player. Jimmy Johnson, owner of Western Equipment and Supply loved a good gamble. That's why virtually all of Westerns' games had cash payout features for high scores. So when they decided to make a baseball game, it too had an optional payout attachment. Western's Baseball of 1938 was a pioneer in one important aspect: they resurrected a feature used in an earlier pinball game called "Stop and Sock", which was the under-the-playfield pitching unit. This became the standard on most coin op baseball game made through the 1970s. There were several different models of the Western Baseball and Western Deluxe Baseball, but all were virtually the same with some minor differences.
