The Lost Temple of DOHO
The Flintstones:Quarry Diving
Originally, the Flintstones game was to have two homages to Dr. Flash and
Jeff Johnson games: the "Move Your Car"/"Traffic Jam" rule set, and a homage to
the "Sniper" from Judge Dredd. Quarry Diving was to be the clone of Sniper.
Actually, it was to be two guys falling, who not only would come up to the
screen and do the famous "I can see my house from here" quotes, but every
now and then the two of them would do some arial dancing or some such thing. The
development of the animations didn't get past the point seen above. It was
decided to just keep the homages to one, so that there could more movie-related
stuff in the game, which ultimately didn't happen. It was finally decided to
keep away from the movie as much as possible later, and to try to keep the
concepts as close as possible to Flintstone lore so as not to confuse those who
didn't see the movie.
