Description: Williams Jackpot Stampede Deluxe Dotmations Slot Machine, WMS, 1998. Jackpot Stampede Dlx slot machine has a 192x64 dot matrix display (DMD) in addition to the three spinning reels. This game takes the theme of Jackpot Party and beefs it up. Player rounds up bonus points as they corral cows and cash cows to the exciting sounds of the old west. During stampede mode the reels shake (neat feature). Available in a 3-coin version only. Note the "JP Stampede Deluxe" version has dotmation ("Jackpot Stampede" is the non-dotmation version, and came out in 1995).

Of all the Williams dotmation spinning reel slot machines, Jackpot Stampede Deluxe is certainly one of the better titles. As the game goes to the bonus round, the reels "shake" like a stampede is happening right in front of the player! And the animations on the dotmatrix display reflect the stampede too, showing a cowboy and lots of cows and dust come running towards the players. It's a very cool effect. The only downside to the bonus round is the lack of player interaction (like say Jackpot Party or Perfect Match, which require the player to interact with the bonus round).
