1963 Chicago Coin Grand Spare Lite Bowling Alley

Description: Grand Spare Lite bowling alley, Chicago Coin, 9/63, six games (including Regulation, Step-up, Shadow Bowling, Flash-o-matic, Dual Flash, Add-a-Frame), normal sized score reels, proturding squared gooseneck pinhood ("Hi-Style" cabinet). Shows in backglass around pin recorder where the player should throw the ball (this is the "Spare Lite" feature). Oak on game stained in "Fruitwood" finish. Grand Spare Lite does not have the "free back" swing away cabinet style where Official Spare Lite does. Grand Spare Lite also has a pin deck that keeps the ball away from the pins, where Official Spare Lite does not have this. Other than that Grand Spare Lite and Official Spare lite are very similar games. Also seems to be the exact same game as CCM Majestic (1964). Very similar to the CCM Grand and Grand Prize bowlers.

The author's 1963 Chicago Coin Grand Spare Lite.
CCM Grand Spare Lite (squared goose neck cabinet style).
Grand Spare Lite uses "roll-under" switches instead of the
convential "roll-over" switches. There were only a handful of
other CCM bowler that used this style of lane pin switches.
